    <title>Weigann, Belcher And Johnson Open Practice On First Team</title>
    <description>Source: Yardbarker.com

The Kansas City Chiefs appear to have their roster set and now they need to decide who will be on the field first when they take on the San Diego Chargers one week from today.
According to Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star, Casey Weigmann, Jovan Belcher and Derrick Johnson opened today&amp;#8217;s practice on the first team.
Teicher was only able to watch the first few minutes of practice but he also noted that Tamba Hali was back at OLB and that Barry Richardson remained the starting RT as Ryan O&amp;#8217;Callaghn is still in the rehab zone.
Check out Josh Looney&amp;#8217;s practice report here.

I believe the first player cut by the Kansas City Chiefs last weekend has found a new home.
Interior offensive lineman Lemuel Jeanpierre was signed by the Seattle Seahawks. He was part of the initial group of cuts for the Chiefs.
All the Chiefs players cut were not vested veterans meaning they went through waivers after being released. It means that all the teams had a shot at signing that particular player but declined.
Here are the Chiefs players that were released that haven't found a new home: TE Leroy Banks, WR Rich Gunnell, G/T Ike Ndukwe, CB Mike Richardson, LB John Russell, G Dan Santucci, T/G Colin Brown, LB David Herron, NT Derek Lokey, S DaJuan Morgan and RB Javarris Williams.
All of the members of the Chiefs practice squad were cut and passed through waivers before signing as well.
Get used to some of the names above. I imagine we'll see one or two of them return at some point during the season because they're familiar with the offensive or defensive system.
Have any of the other cuts signed to this point? My research said no.

    <title>The Arrowhead Addict Roster Familiarity Project</title>
    <description>A blocker&amp;#39;s worst nightmare (source: yardbarker.com)

Roughly two years ago, Herm Edwards said something that changed the way I watch football.  And no, I&amp;#8217;m not talking about one of his quasi-religious pearls of wisdom ( e.g. &amp;#8220;I live by fate, not sight.&amp;#8221;). It was one of his many blame-shifting lies that affected this change.  The subject was Glenn Dorsey, and the question was whether or not he was struggling as a rookie.  Herm&amp;#8217;s response was that Dorsey was &amp;#8220;our most unselfish lineman&amp;#8221; and that he was &amp;#8220;beating up the guard and taking on the double-team.&amp;#8221;
Chiefs Nation ran with it, any criticism of Dorsey eliciting a quick &amp;#8220;he&amp;#8217;s getting double-teamed; debate over.&amp;#8221;  Before long public opinion held that not only was Dorsey not struggling, he was actually thriving.  Double-teams, half-tackles, games played, Oh my!  There was even a coverage sack in there.  His stats (tackles only, not forced fumbles or sacks) were compared against past defensive linemen in a dishonest attempt to paint a pretty picture.  &amp;#8220;Dorsey has more tackles (again, sacks don&amp;#8217;t count) than Albert Haynesworth did his rookie year!  He must be awesome!  Somebody call Canton and tell them to get that bust ready.&amp;#8221;
The problem is, it was a fantasy.  I know, because when Herm made his absurd statements, I made a decision.  I would watch Dorsey every play of every game for the rest of the year, and I would make note of any double-teams drawn.  The results were ugly.  Not only was Dorsey not drawing any doubles, he was routinely stood up by the opposing guard.  He had no pass-rush moves other than the &amp;#8217;stand &amp;#8216;n shove&amp;#8217;.   Lateral movement was a strength, but it was buried under a slew of weaknesses.  Dorsey had a tough first year.  I saw every single play.

This isn&amp;#8217;t meant to be an anti-Dorsey rant.  I actually thought he improved slightly last year.  If he keeps improving, he could end up a pretty solid player.  My point is, when people heralded his double-team drawing and pocket-pushing, I knew they hadn&amp;#8217;t actually been watching him.  Because I had, and no one who had seen what I saw would have thought he had a good year.  He didn&amp;#8217;t.  He was an out-of-shape, raw rookie and it showed.  I earned that knowledge by focusing on him every play, sometimes to the detriment of my knowledge of other players.  For instance, I hardly ever got to watch the tomfoolery of Tank Tyler*.  A heavy price to pay.
*Tank was cut by Carolina the other day. Potential!  Looks like he&amp;#8217;s well on his way to joining his Chiefs d-tackle draft pick forefathers in the unemployment line.  Hopefully they won&amp;#8217;t haze him for being the new guy.  I hear Eddie Freeman is quite the prankster.
In all seriousness, I&amp;#8217;m glad Pioli was able to get a fifth round pick for Tank.  I believe we used that on Cameron Sheffield?  Circle of life.
I didn&amp;#8217;t focus as much on Glenngarry Glenn Dorsey in 2009.  I wanted to start fresh, and there was another LSU block eater to watch.  This season I&amp;#8217;ll be returning to Dorsey country.  You dance with the girl who brought ya, even if that girl is a 300-pound reminder of Herm Edwards.  This is an important season for Dorsey.  The excuses have run out, and he needs to perform.  I want to be able to judge the results for myself, so I&amp;#8217;m going to be glued to Dorsey-vision again this year.
The problem is that while I&amp;#8217;m earning my masters in Dorseynomics other players will inevitably elude my creepy, dead-eyed stare.  I live in constant fear of the day someone asks me how Sweet Ron Edwards is doing and I don&amp;#8217;t have an answer (I&amp;#8230;.I&amp;#8230;..I don&amp;#8217;t know how Ron Edwards is playing.)    This is where you Addicts come in.
What I&amp;#8217;m proposing is a project wherein many of us become specialists in certain players.  AA commenter and Big Matt colleague Sesame Cake has already volunteered to become our resident Kendrick Lewis expert.  I know I&amp;#8217;ve heard Ehud say he wants to keep a close eye on Brandon Carr.  I&amp;#8217;d like to get several of you on Tyson Jackson and at least one other guy on Dorsey to keep me honest.
The goal here is to have one of our best Addicts following everyone in the Chiefs&amp;#8217; playing rotation, particularly the offensive and defensive lines.  As fans, we&amp;#8217;re trained to watch the ball, and that&amp;#8217;s what almost everyone does.  Given that the camera follows the ball, its only natural our eyes will as well.  The result is that we all become intimately familiar with the quarterbacks and running backs, but a lot of the nitty-gritty goes unnoticed.  I want us to notice that nitty-gritty.  In fact, I want us all up in its business.  If I&amp;#8217;m interested in how Ryan Lilja pass-blocked against Denver, I want to be able to hear it from someone I trust.  Someone who has actually watched Ryan Lilja game in, game out.  In other words, I want to break our reliance on team-generated spin.  I want my Chiefs knowledge to be as pure and untainted as possible.  Like I said, I can&amp;#8217;t do this alone.  I&amp;#8217;m going to need your help.
If you&amp;#8217;d like to participate in the Arrowhead Addict Roster Familiarity Project, drop a comment letting me know which player you&amp;#8217;re going to follow (literally or figuratively).  From that point on, you&amp;#8217;ll be my source for that player.  I will consult you when I&amp;#8217;m curious, and I will take your analysis to heart.  All I ask is that you try to be as unbiased as possible.  I realize that isn&amp;#8217;t easy, but its necessary for a project like this.
Like I said, I&amp;#8217;m on Dorsey.  And if my boy Magee ever manages to see the field, I&amp;#8217;ll be keeping a sharp eye on him as well.  I&amp;#8217;ll need help with everyone else.  I want you Addicts all over these guys.  Research them, watch them play, write them letters, go through their trash.  Don&amp;#8217;t be afraid of a little light stalking.
NFL teams expect their fans to swallow any nonsense they&amp;#8217;re fed without question.  That is unacceptable to me.  I want knowledge, not fairy tales.  I intend to learn as much as I can about these Chiefs.  Join me in my quest&amp;#8230;..just don&amp;#8217;t tell Scott Pioli.  A fan with information is obviously a threat to our Super Bowl chances, and I&amp;#8217;d rather not be carried off in the middle of the night.

    <title>Report: Richardson To Re-Sign With Jets</title>
    <description>Source: Yardbarker.com

It doesn&amp;#8217;t look like the Kansas City Chiefs will be bringing back former FB Tony Richardson as Pro Football Talk is reporting that Richardson is likely to re-sign with the Jets today.
From PFT:
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Richardson could be re-signing as soon as this afternoon. (Actually, the source says that Richardson &amp;#8220;should be&amp;#8221; returning on Monday.)
It was always a long shot that T-Rich would return to KC as the Chiefs already have a couple of FB&amp;#8217;s they seem to like in Castille and Cox.
Still, the Chiefs remain thin on depth at some areas so I expect them to be making a move or two today. Stay tuned.

The Kansas City Chiefs have established their 53-man roster and&amp;nbsp;8-man&amp;nbsp;practice squad.
It sounds like that's going to change&amp;nbsp;quickly.&amp;nbsp;The&amp;nbsp;agent for&amp;nbsp;nose tackle Anthony Toribio tells Bob McGinn of&amp;nbsp;the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that the Chiefs claimed his client off waivers.

NT Anthony Toribio was claimed by the Kansas City Chiefs, agent Joel Turner told Bob McGinn. &quot;He truly hates leaving,&quot; Turner said.

This would mean the Chiefs would have to remove someone if Toribio his headed to the active roster of the practice squad.
He was originally signed by the Dolphins as a UDFA in 2008. He later went to the Packers.&amp;nbsp;He was promoted to&amp;nbsp;the active roster at the end of the season the last two years.
He stands 6'1&quot; and 305 pounds.
It sounds like the Packers were planning on adding him to their practice squad if the Chiefs didn't claim him.
Toribio was actually in Arrowhead Stadium last week when the Packers played the Chiefs in the final preseason game.

        The Chiefs are keeping Tyler Palko close in case they need an emergency quarterback. They signed Palko to the eight-player practice squad they established.
The other seven members of the practice squad are also players recently released by the Chiefs. They are: wide receiver Verran Tucker, offensive linemen Darryl Harris and Bobby Greenwood, defensive linemen Garrett Brown and Dion Gales, linebacker Pierre Walters and defensive back Ricky Price.

    <title>Chiefs QB Options</title>
    <description>Source: Yardbarker.com

The Kansas City Chiefs cut third string QB Tyler Palko yesterday in an effort to slice their roster to 53 players. It is possible but unlikely the Chiefs will go in to the season carrying only two QB&amp;#8217;s. That means one of the signal callers that were released yesterday will probably find their way into a Chiefs uniform before long.
Below is a list of available QB&amp;#8217;s I think the Chiefs should go after, in order.
1. Matt Leinart
Despite all the bad feelings out there about Matt Lainart, as for as 3rd string QB&amp;#8217;s go, he is a bargain. He is familiar with Todd Haley and his offensive style and would be able to step in and learn the Chiefs playbook fairly fast.
I know a lot of Chiefs fans are worried about the presence of Leinart being a distraction to Matt Cassel. I don&amp;#8217;t think this should be a concern. This is Cassel&amp;#8217;s team and everyone knows it. Leinart would be coming in as a third stringer and would be too far away from Cassel on the depth chart to be a real threat. The argument that the Chiefs shouldn&amp;#8217;t bring in talented players behind their starting QB is hogwash. If Cassel can&amp;#8217;t handle pressure from the guys below him on the depth chat he isn&amp;#8217;t going to be able to handle pressure from opposing defenses.

The Chiefs offense is designed for Matt Cassel. It is full of procession receivers and check down playmakers to make the QB&amp;#8217;s job easier. Leinart is a similar QB to Matt Cassel with similar problems. He would be the perfect emergency QB for the 2010 Chief.
Don&amp;#8217;t worry about a QB controversy. If things get so bad that fans are calling for Matt Leinart to be the Chiefs starting QB, Kansas City will be drafting a QB in the first round of the draft in 2011.
As for Leinart&amp;#8217;s reported attitude problems, I think he just spent last night eating a big slice of humble pie. KC would be a great place for him to start over and try to resurrect his career. For a guy like Leinart, staying in the league right now is very important. The Chiefs could provide him with that opportunity and he could provide the Chiefs with some solid depth for a season.
2. Troy Smith
3. J.P. Losman
4. Chis Simms
I am going for experience here over young guys with little talent and high upside. This is the emergency QB situation we are talking about here. The above guys are far from spectacular but they have enough experience to come in to the game and hand off to Jones, Charles and McCluster 50 times and run a few dump off plays without getting too rattled. The Chiefs are set with Matt Cassel and Brodie Croyle. More experience in the emergency slot is where I would go first.
4. Pat White
5. Levi Brown
6. Dan LeFevour
7. John David Booty
8. Colt Brennan
If the Chiefs do decide to go the developmental, high upside route, these guys listed above would be fine. White is the most intriguing option because of what he can do with his legs. I also have liked what I have seen from Brown and LeFevour at times so I wouldn&amp;#8217;t mind seeing what Weis could do with those guys.
That is my list. It is your turn Addicts. Who do you think the Chiefs should go after and why?

The Kansas City Chiefs included in their roster cut down on Saturday evening quarterback Tyler Palko. He had a rough camp and didn't really show a whole lot so I think many knew there was a good chance he would be released.
But this also means that the Chiefs have just two quarterbacks on the roster -- Matt Cassel and Brodie Croyle.
Todd Haley went with two quarterbacks in Arizona once so it's possible that the Chiefs carry just Cassel and Croyle.
More likely, though, I think the Chiefs look for a third quarterback out on the open market. Chiefs GM Scott Pioli likes to keep a developmental quarterback on the roster -- Matt Cassel anyone? -- in the chance that he can strike gold twice with another Tom Brady.
Considering Croyle's injury history, I suspect the Chiefs will target another quarterback.
Check out all the players that have been released and see if you can pick out a quarterback candidate.

The Kansas City Chiefs now have 53 players on their roster having released 13 on Saturday night. The next move for the Chiefs will be creating a practice squad.
All these players who were released that are practice squad-eligible (click here to see the rules on who's eligible) will be subject to waivers. That ends at 11:00 a.m. (Arrowhead time) and teams can begin signing players to the eight-man practice squad. These are generally made up of rookie free agents and other fringe NFL players.
Last year the Chiefs established their practice squad on the evening of the first signing day so if history repeats itself the announcement will come tonight.
Last year's first practice squad consisted solely of players who had been in the previous training camp so keep that in mind moving forward. The practice squad guys will likely be made up of the group that just went to camp with the Chiefs. They know the most about them so it makes sense.
There are already rumors picking up out there of players soon being added to the practice squad.

13 #Chiefs Released: C. Brown, G. Brown, Gales, B. Greenwood, D. Harris, Herron, Lokey, Morgan, Palko, Price, Tucker, Walters and J Williams

The big surprise is the placement of Jerhemy Urban on the injured reserve list. Maurice Leggett landing there is somewhat surprising as well, though he did suffer a serious looking neck injury in the preseason.
More after the jump.

This means Corey Greenwood, Justin Cole and Jeremy Horne are safe for now.

    <title>Chiefs Trade Page To Patriots For Conditional Pick</title>
    <description>Source: Yardbarker.com

ESPN&amp;#8217;s Adam Schefter is reporting that the Kansas City Chiefs have traded safety Jarrad Page to the New England Patriots for a conditional draft pick.
Schefter tweeted the following:
Adam_Schefter
Filed to ESPN: Chiefs traded S Jarrad Page, who signed his contract only on Friday, to New England for a conditional draft pick.
We currently don&amp;#8217;t have the details on this deal but it is likely for a late round pick and has a chance to be higher if Page meets certain criteria during the season.
This move has a better outcome than the last time the Chiefs had to deal with a disgruntled safety. This time last year, much to the shock of Chiefs Nation, the Chiefs released Bernard Pollard. Pollard ended up signing with the Houston Texans and went on to have a very productive season, making the Chiefs look foolish for not getting anything in return.
What do you think Addicts? Are you glad Page is gone? What draft pick do you think the Chiefs will get for him?

We're now down to three hours and counting until the Kansas City Chiefs and every other NFL team need to cut their NFL rosters down to 53 players. The NFL roster cut deadline time is 6 PM eastern. Last year, the Chiefs announced their cuts pretty late in the day, so if you have something to get done before 6 PM, do it now.&amp;nbsp;
This is another open thread for you to speculate on cuts, trades, waiver claims or anything else related to today's roster cut day.&amp;nbsp;

    <title>Twitter Alert: Cardinals To Release Leinart</title>
    <description>Source: Yardbarker.com

Adam Schefter just tweeted that the Cardinals have informed Matt Leinart that they will release him today.
Personally, I think the Chiefs go after Leinart. Decent QB&amp;#8217;s are hard to come by and Leinart, for all his problems, is a better QB than Tyler Palko in my eyes.
That being said, I highly doubt the Chiefs will take my advice here. Matt Cassel at behind Leinart at USC and it might be damaging to Cassel&amp;#8217;s psycheto bring Leinart in.
Still, with Haley&amp;#8217;s history in Arizona it is a situation worth keeping a skeptical eye on.
What do you think, Addicts? Should the Chiefs go after Matt Leinart?

With a big hat tip to tomahawk44 in the FanShots, FoxSports.com NFL writer Adam Caplan tells us that the Kansas City Chiefs worked out former Buffalo Bills' defensive lineman Lonnie Harvey. The work out happened late this week, after Harvey was waived by the Bills earlier in the week.
If the Chiefs did sign Harvey, it wouldn't be an earth shattering event. As Caplan notes, Harvey was originally signed as an undrafted free-agent with the Carolina Panthers in 2009. He was waived by Carolina before the season started and joined Buffalo's practice squad in late November.
When Harvey was waived, Buffalo Rumblings editor Brian Galliford&amp;nbsp;said, &quot;Harvey failed to make waves at the nose tackle position, where he was unremarkable during preseason play. He, too, has a shot at the practice squad.&quot;
So the Chiefs would be looking at a potential nose tackle in Lonnie Harvey. Perhaps they're not comfortable with who they have now? That would be Ron Edwards, Shaun Smith (he can play NT even though he is listed as a left defensive end), Garret Brown and potentially Derek Lokey.&amp;nbsp;
The Kansas City Chiefs also checked out a nose tackle a few weeks ago, Kendrick Clancy. He was re-signed by the New Orleans Saints on August 30th.&amp;nbsp;
You waiver wire hawks keep an eye out for potential nose tackles that are being released. They could be on the Chiefs' radar.

Here are few roster cuts around the NFL that could interest the Kansas City Chiefs.

Seahawks released WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh.
QB Matt Leinart has been told he'll be released.
Bills released QB Levi Brown. Chiefs offensive coordinator Charlie Weis scouted him.
S Myron Rolle was released by the Titans.
Dolphins QB Pat White was released.
Bucs WR Michael Clayton was released.
Redskins released RB Willie Parker.
Broncos cut Jarvis Green after signing him to a four-year deal this offseason. He played for the Pats, too.

The Chiefs will be looking at every player released but these are the big names. Any others you think might interest the Chiefs?

The Kansas City Chiefs' roster currently sits at 68 players - twelve less than they had a week ago and seven less than they had yesterday (Actually it's 69 players because Jarrad Page is technically on the roster but the Chiefs get an exemption from him).
Today, by 6 PM eastern time, they will have to cut down their roster to 53 players. That means fifteen guys have to go. Eight of those players will likely end up on the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad.&amp;nbsp;
Use this early thread to talk about the possible cuts. I've posted the current roster after the jump. And it's sortable, so you can check out the rookies and possible practice squad guys.&amp;nbsp;

In typical Chiefs' fashion, all the news hit on a Friday evening. For those of you who haven't heard, Page signed and the roster cuts began. The latest updates on those stories and all the other Kansas City Chiefs news waits below. Happy holiday weekend!

The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Friday that S&amp;nbsp;Jarrad Page&amp;nbsp;has signed his restricted free agent tender. The club also released seven players: TE&amp;nbsp;Leroy Banks, WR&amp;nbsp;Rich Gunnell, G/C&amp;nbsp;Lemuel Jeanpierre, T/GIkechuku Ndukwe, CB&amp;nbsp;Mike Richardson, LB&amp;nbsp;John Russell&amp;nbsp;and G&amp;nbsp;Dan Santucci.

CHIEFS RE-SIGN S JARRAD PAGE, RELEASE SEVEN PLAYERS&amp;nbsp;from The Mothership

Here's the AP story on hoe the Page situation affects the roster:&amp;nbsp;Chiefs Get Two Game Roster Exemption for Jarrad Page

The Chiefs threw the deep ball plenty during training camp but rarely tried during the preseason. That suggests that they will begin winging it down the field once the regular season begins or that other issues such as protection problems are interfering with their plans...
...&quot;I&amp;rsquo;ve never scored in the preseason in my entire career, so I&amp;rsquo;m not worried,&quot; said Chambers, who is beginning his 10th NFL season. &quot;Not one touchdown.
&quot;It&amp;rsquo;s not that we didn&amp;rsquo;t have plays called and we didn&amp;rsquo;t want to throw the ball downfield. We just didn&amp;rsquo;t execute them. It&amp;rsquo;s not that we haven&amp;rsquo;t been practicing those plays. We work on that stuff all the time. I expect it to show up soon.&quot;

Chiefs offense shows good and bad signs&amp;nbsp;from KC Star

Chiefs&amp;nbsp;Todd Haley
OK, the time for excuses is over. Haley has proven coordinators he can trust in&amp;nbsp;Charlie Weis&amp;nbsp;and&amp;nbsp;Romeo Crennel.&amp;nbsp;That will enable Haley, in his second year, to delegate authority and not have to micro-manage every detail. The&amp;nbsp;Chiefs&amp;nbsp;have two drafts and two off-seasons of free agency to find their 'Right 53.&quot; And best of all, they have a favorable schedule that includes just three playoff teams from last year -San Diego&amp;nbsp;(twice),&amp;nbsp;Indianapolis&amp;nbsp;and&amp;nbsp;Arizona&amp;nbsp;- so 8-8 is not too much to ask.

KC Star Video:&amp;nbsp;Haley: Quarterback position under scrutiny

&amp;bull;&amp;nbsp;Dwayne Bowe,&amp;nbsp;WR, Chiefs: I see Kansas City as a potential surprise team this year; not a playoff contender, but someone who can finish second in the AFC West. Getting Charlie Weis back to his coordinator roots is a good thing. Here's hoping Bowe and Todd Haley have finally gotten somewhat used to reach other.

Tip Drill: What's in my wallet&amp;nbsp;from Yahoo! Sports

15.&amp;nbsp;Kansas City Chiefs&amp;nbsp;&amp;ndash; Clark Hunt:&amp;nbsp;Like his late father, Lamar, Clark runs his team with integrity and is considered a team player in league circles. Unlike Lamar, however, Clark prefers to delegate power and keep his distance, letting general manager Scott Pioli attempt to transform the team&amp;rsquo;s football operations department and talent-deficient roster. One of Hunt&amp;rsquo;s peers describes him as &quot;an absentee owner. They were fifth in marketing at one point under Lamar; you won&amp;rsquo;t see that again...&quot;

Christian Okoye, the &quot;Nigerian Nightmare&quot;. Played for Kansas City Chiefs and earned his nickname due to his punishing style of running through tacklers. Teammate Irv Eatman is credited for the nickname.

Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs who have completed the renovation of Arrowhead Stadium this year. The Chiefs also added large LED ribbon boards to enhance the experience for their fans. Daktronics has systems working in 29 of 31 NFL venues and is recognized as the world&amp;rsquo;s number one LED video manufacturer by independent marketing research firm iSuppli, according to the company.

Jon McGraw and Jordy Nelson are both Kansas boys to the roots. They grew up in Riley County and are a true inspiration to the kids who now wear the same uniforms they once wore.
Falcon player Jake Henderson says, &quot;It makes me think that maybe, if they can do it, then maybe I can do it.&quot; Riley County Head Football Coach Steve Wagner says, &quot;When Jon first made it in the NFL I think that inspired, that put the seed in Jordy's mind and seeing both of them out there has to put the seed in a lot of other kids here who think they might have the chance to do the same thing.&quot;

Riley County football alums now in the pros bring inspiration to young players&amp;nbsp;from KTKA.com

It&amp;rsquo;s not that difficult to put together a narrative that takes the&amp;nbsp;Kansas City Chiefs&amp;nbsp;from the outhouse to the penthouse in 2010. Of course, a few bounces will have to go their way, beginning on Sept. 13 when they host the San Diego Chargers.
Kansas City&amp;nbsp;has the easiest&amp;nbsp;NFL matchup schedule, an elite running game and the Chiefs did a great job of addressing their biggest weaknesses in the offseason.
The Chargers&amp;nbsp;may find that this isn&amp;rsquo;t the same team they beat twice last season by a combined score of 80-21.

Elvis Dumervil's season is officially sacked.
The Denver Broncos had been holding out hope the league's top sacker would make a quicker than anticipated recovery from a torn chest muscle and return to action in December.
Dumervil, however, posted a message on his Twitter account Friday night that confirmed an NFL.com report he'll be going on injured reserve, ending his season.
