I was worried about Nascar being able to get this race off after the delay due to Tropical Storm Hanna, but the weather was great and the racing was good, if someone besides Jimmie Johnson had won this race it would’ve been a lot better, the one thing no one needs, unless you are a Johnson fan, is for Jimmie to get hot right now. Too bad it is already happening.
Jimmie Johnson held off an aggravated Tony Stewart to win the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 in Richmond and his second in a row to come roaring into the Chase at the exact time they need too, starting the last ten races with big momentum, something they know is crucial after winning the last two championships. If they can win their third championship in a row, tying Cale Yarborough, the only other driver to ever win three championships in a row, it would certainly help cement the fact that this is the Jimmie Johnson era, all he would need to do would be win ten races in one year.
