I wrote last month about UCLA's interest in Matt Vogrich, a senior shooting guard from Lake Forest, Ill. Well, UCLA's recruitment has gotten serious enough that Vogrich received a scholarship offer last week, his mother said Tuesday.
Vogrich is planning to take an official visit to UCLA in late September, likely the weekend of the Fresno State football game. Prior to that, he will also visit Stanford, Michigan, Notre Dame and Wake Forest.
Mary Vogrich was unsure if the UCLA scholarship offer was evidence the Bruins believe her son is on par with the other shooting guards they've offered or a sign those other targets may go elsewhere. In the 2009 guard class, UCLA is also pursuing Michael Snaer, Avery Bradley and Abdul Gaddy, among others.
