Regardless of the conclusions of the police investigation into the shooting at his birthday part, Michael Vick is in danger of losing his job as a backup quarterback with the Philadelphia Eagles. An Associated Press report Saturday morning said the Eagles are "strongly considering" releasing Vick no matter what the police in Virginia find.

The report cites a person familiar with the team's thinking who requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the situation.
