Plaxico Burress has reportedly applied for admittance into a work-release program, the second time he's done so during his nine months in jail. Burress submitted a request for work release in November but was denied in January.
According to the New York Daily News, Burress resubmitted his application Friday, which was the earliest date he was allowed to do so.
"There are a number of very prominent anti-gun and anti-violence organizations who have written letters on his behalf and who are supporting his release," Burress' attorney, Peter Frankel told the Daily News.
