A total of 28 middleweight competitors have been chosen to compete on the upcoming 11th season of the Ultimate Fighting Championship and Spike TV's long-running reality series, "The Ultimate Fighter."
Spike TV has released the list of fighters competing to become the next Ultimate Fighter. The fighters range from young 21-year-olds, to veterans with more than 30 fights, so there is a lot of diversity.
Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz have been chosen to coach this season.
As a lot of attention will be on Chuck and Tito during the season, the purpose of the show is to turn one of these fighters into the next contender in the UFC.
With this being a middleweight show, I find it to be a very good idea. The UFC is lacking competitiveness in its middleweight division, so giving these guys a shot can really boost the weight class.
